BAVARIA-AUTOMIXER

The stationary AUTOMIXER mixing system enables the production of ternary (Trimix, Heliair) and binary (Heliox, Nitrox) gas mixtures.

In recent years, the demand for Nitrox and Trimix has increased significantly as diving activities have changed significantly. For reasons of user-friendliness, filling stations cover the demand almost exclusively with partial pressure mixtures. However, this method requires special, clean oxygen cylinders and extreme care when transferring the correct amount of gas before refilling with pure breathing air. With the partial pressure method, it is also difficult, time-consuming and unfortunately also error-prone to fill half or three-quarter empty cylinders with the desired mixture. This is especially true if there is no large supply of the pure gases required for the mixture (oxygen/helium).

The BAVARIA-AUTOMIXER: An innovative solution for diving gas mixtures

The BAVARIA AUTOMIXER was developed to solve the problems associated with the production of diving gas mixtures. This system with static mixers enables the diving mixture to be produced in the required percentages at low pressure, i.e. before it is sucked in by the high-pressure compressor.

A significant advantage of the BAVARIA-AUTOMIXER is that the mixture obtained from the mixer is already homogenized. This allows immediate use after a corresponding final analysis, which is not possible with other systems.

Restrictions for oil-lubricated compressors: 

However, there is an important restriction to be observed: In oil-lubricated compressors, the oxygen content in the mixture must not exceed 40 percent. This limitation is for safety reasons, as higher oxygen concentrations in combination with oil can pose a fire risk.

The BAVARIA-AUTOMIXER thus offers an efficient and safe method for producing diving gas mixtures that overcomes many of the challenges of conventional mixing processes.
